Hello people. I am a student in the Pre Algebra. I like algebra a lot since I was a kid. Unfortunately I have come to a point where I can no longer solve my math exercises on my own. I had a algebra tutor, who helped me for a while with my homework, but I had to pay so much money that I had to tell him not to come anymore. Today we learnt something new: how to do a cube root on a ti-83 calculator, and when I came home from class I realized that I can't do my algebra homework, and that freaked me out. I also still don't understand binomial formula and angle complements. What should I do now? I adore math and I don't want to have bad grades. |

What exactly don't you understand about how to do a cube root on a ti-83 calculator? I remember having difficulty with the same thing in Intermediate algebra, so I might be able to give you some advice on how to approach such problems. However if you want help with math on a long term basis, then you should purchase Algebrator, that's what I did in my Basic Math, and I have to say it's amazing! It's less expensive than a private teacher and you can use it anytime you want. It's not hard to use it, even if you never ever had a similar software. I would advise you to purchase it as soon as you can and forget about getting a algebra tutor. You won't regret it! |

A great piece of math software is Algebrator. Even I faced similar problems while solving rational equations, powers and leading coefficient. Just by typing in the problem from homeworkand clicking on Solve – and step by step solution to my math homework would be ready. I have used it through several algebra classes - Pre Algebra, Algebra 2 and Algebra 1. I highly recommend the program. |
